My thoughts on education.

Art education has been my passion since early childhood. That said, most prestigious art school programs I attended, in retrospect, seem too impersonal, slow, narrow, and outdated. I loved the shorter courses I handpicked, but the best teachers still remain, the great mentors and friends, I had at work.

After the advent of the Internet, good, great, amazing, crazy, and gloriously crappy courses became available few clicks away. I was instantly obsessed and still remain an online course addict.

For you who are looking to find great co-workers and build great teams, I suggest not being too impressed by people confined to art degrees only. Only the top 10% of them go on to become great creatives after their studies. The pace of progress is too high for a creator to stop learning. Go for the hungry self-learners, the impatient dropouts, the rebels, the people hopelessly in love with what they do.
